Created in 1995, Montpellier Espace Langues is situated at the heart of the city, on the Place de la Comédie. Our vocation is to be an institute conceived as a place of meeting, exchange and apprenticeship of languages.  We welcome during the entire year a public belonging to diverse and international domains and we propose courses from beginner to advanced levels.  A team of teachers, all qualified native speakers, establishes personalised  individual and collective courses in French language as well as other foreign languages (English, Spanish, German, Italian, etc.).
                  
Parallel to the courses, students have access to the library and video-library, as well as to regular spectacles or to soirées organised by the school. Along with this, PC's with connection to ADSL are available to students and there is a weekly projection of films, followed by a discussion.

We offer them, too, the possibility to participate in excursions and outings.  Also, throughout the year, we organise cultural activities programs or outings for groups already constituted by organisers in their country of origin.
                      
Our goal is to make Montpellier Espace Langues an agreeable and multicultural place where students, French teachers, and foreigners like to group together so they can develop and acquire a mastery of a foreign language, in an atmosphere at the same time studious and convivial.

These programs are proposed only to students already registered in an intensive or semi intensive course.
Registration fees are : € 50 per year.

The Au pair Program.
More and more young foreigners choose the au pair format to live an enriching experience, deepened by the knowledge and the practice of a foreign language, to discover the culture in sharing day to day life of a French family.
The young « au pair » is fed, lodged, and has his/her clothes washed in exchange for a few hours of work (baby-sitting, house-hold chores).  He/she will receive pay at about € 300 per month. (this amount may be subject to change)
The young « au pair » must, in addition, take some courses in French; the extensive and semi-intensive courses are particularly adapted to their job hours.  The registration fees are €50, payable at registration by check.  This will not be cashed until the young « au pair » is placed with a family.

The Internship in Business + Courses.
Thisoptionpermits students to acquire a professional experience in France all the while deepening their knowledge of the language.  The internships, for the most part unpaid, take place in enterprises, societies and businesses in Montpellier and in the nearby city suburbs.  Alongside, these interns are expected to follow a program of courses in French as a foreign language. 
This format addresses itself to students having already a good knowledge of the French language.

The paid jobs.
Theyare proposed to students who are in demand, under the employee's reserved acceptation according to the potential employer's. These jobs are generally part - time in hostels, restaurants, etc.  They range from 20 to 25 hours a week and are paid at minimum wage.
